Coblaco Services Celebrates 40 Years in Business!

Coblaco Services recently surpassed a significant milestone, celebrating 40 years in business!

Colorado Blasting and Painting started in 1978 with a two-person crew, including the company founder, Phil Davis.  At that time, the company offered mobile equipment sandblasting and painting services.   Moving to Henderson, Colorado in 1984 allowed the company to build a  production facility which helped grow the business and plan for future expansion.

In 1996, two paint shops were added to the Henderson site, including one of the largest climate-controlled enclosed paint facilities in Colorado at the time.  Through investments in equipment and partnerships with other companies, the company’s customer base and the diversity of its capabilities grew.  In an effort to create a national brand, Colorado Blasting Company was ultimately renamed Coblaco Services, Inc. 

With the acquisition of American Pipeline Services in 2006, Coblaco Services was able to segue into the pipeline maintenance market.   In addition to ultra high-pressure surface preparation and industrial high-performance protective coatings, Coblaco Services now offers pipeline internal and external lining and coating, grouting, maintenance as well as NACE certified inspections. Its employee base has grown to over 70 strong, including well-trained and experienced technicians.  Coblaco has also mobilized crews around the country to complete jobs that require various industrial coating needs.

Coblaco Services also has a new President, Steve Davis, Phil’s son:
