Earlier in 2021, Coblaco won an on-call maintenance contract with the South Platte Renew Wastewater Treatment Plant. The agreement established a partnership in which Coblaco would provide guidance on planning and prioritizing the large amount of coating work needed at the plant.

In July, the first Task Order in this partnership was completed, while work started on two additional Task Orders.  One additional Task Order was accepted for a start date later in the year.  The work recently completed involved installation of H2S resistant coating in the concrete grit channel and head cell. Coblaco coordinated with South Platte Renew and a scaffolding subcontractor to divert wastewater flows and establish access to the areas requiring coating. From there, Coblaco’s crews made quick work of the coating scope, finishing the project ahead of schedule.
